Lots of Spring Updates

It has been a busy couple of weeks getting some new product on our website.

First we have Veloflex Tires. Veloflex have re-named their tires and added a few new ones. New tubulars include the Extreme and the Sprinter tires. The tires are identical except for the color of the sidewall; Extreme has a black sidewall, whereas the Sprinter has a tan color sidewall. All of our 2010 clinchers will only have black tread. We are no longer going to offer colored tread. If this is what you want, we do have some 2009 colors still available, but not many.

Next is Etxe Ondo clothing. Some super items that we are really excited about. Check out the limited edition Attaque Bib Short and also a top of the line bib for women. We are offering lots of different short sleeve jerseys for various weather types that will compliment any of the bib shorts we have.

There is an updated design for the GSG Acqua & Sappone clothing. We have some summer items (cap, gloves, arm warmers, jerseys, vest and shorts) as well as some winter items (Bib tights, vest, and jacket).

Next we'll be working on the new MS Tina clothing. Stay tuned...

These jerseys are made from 100% polyester that have a UPF of 50+.
They have a front zipper and 3-4 rear pockets.
They are made in Malaysia and come in 5 sizes (XS, S, M, L, and XL).

Etxe Ondo Compression Recovery Socks

Wear the same recovery socks as some of the top European Pro Tour riders.

Research has shown that the use of compression recovery socks help reduce leg fatigue and muscle soreness, thereby also reducing recovery time. This helps your legs feel fresh for the next time you exercise.

How does it work? Through the use of graduated or progressive compression, blood circulation back to the heart is increased. Research has shown that this can be up a 138% increase with the correct compression (18mmHg at the ankles working up the leg to 8mmHg according to Sigel et al (1975)). This helps remove exercise induced by products, such as lactic acid and carbon dioxide, from the muscle tissue. This thereby reduces recovery time.

The key is to have the right amount of compression for these socks to be effective. Too little compression, and circulation is not increased, and too much will actually inhibit circulation. It is key is to have a graduated compression sock. Etxe Ondo's socks are specifically designed to give a varying amount of compression, with the maximum amount of compression lower down the leg that graduates to slightly less compression higher up the sock. These socks are designed to give compression ratings between 8-18 mmHg, making these socks safe to be worn over prolonged periods, (this is much different from the therapeutic compression socks doctors prescribe to patients. These socks have a higher compression factor to help address circulation issues).

These socks are made from high quality materials that will continue to provide adequate compression over time.

Liberty Seguros

For 2009 Inverse made clothing for the Liberty Seguros Cycling Team, and for 2009 the team had two Amateur National Champions; Spanish and Portuguese National Champions. Inverse made the clothing for them. Team Sales were able to buy the left over inventory at a good price; savings that we can pass onto you, our customers.

Quantities are limited. Once it has gone, there will be no more. All Clothing is Original Team Issue; i.e. the same quality as the pro riders received. All Short Sleeve Jerseys have full zippers, 3 rear pockets, and are made of a very lightweight and breathable polyester/polyamide fabric. We only have sizes M, L and XL available. Price is $69.95

The Bib Shorts feature white mesh braces and a new top of the line chamois (pad). The Liberty Seguros and the Spanish National Champion Bibs feature a textured Lycra blend compression fabric that offers maximum support. MS Tina's Dragon Clothing

The number of different cycling clothing brands being sold in the USA is significant. However, the number of cycling clothing manufacturers who actually design, develop, and produce their own clothing in-house with their own employees is quite small. The fact is, that in today's World, most cycling apparel makers use independent contractors to help keep their costs down.

TSC only work with European cycling apparel manufacturers who design and produce their own clothes in-house. And we're very proud of this fact. We find the products are far superior. We work very closely with the Italian and Spanish manufacturers to ensure that fit, quality, function and style are paramount. We are able to select different fabrics and chamois that we feel are better suited for the US market. Some of the products we offer are made to our specifications and are exclusive to us.

One of the companies we work with is MS Tina. They are a small Italian cycling clothing maker in NE Italy near Venice that is owned by a husband and wife team, Marcel and Edy. Marcel was a former French professional cyclists who rode with the likes of Bernard Hinault, Lauren Fignon and Greg Lemond. And Edy has worked in the cycling clothing business for many years prior to starting MS Tina.

MS Tina design, develop, and produce all of its clothing (with the exception of accessories) in-house using fabrics and chamois from Italian producers. The result is a quality and craftsmanship that is second to none and because TSC buys direct from them the prices are fall less than the norm.

The new Dragon clothing is not only unique in its design, but quite visible as well. TSC offers the following:

SHORT SLEEVE JERSEY:
-is made of a highly lightweight and elastic fabric called Ultra 18 from Carvico. This fabric has a UV protectant factor and has a silky smooth texture that is very comfortable, fast drying and excellent wicking properties making it ideal for warm/hot summer rides.

LONG SLEEVE JERSEY:
-is made of a heavier soft and stretchy polyester fabric called TouchDry that is ideal for riding in temperatures ranging between 50-60 degrees. Comes with a full zipper and 3 rear open pockets.

BIB SHORTS:
The white fabric is a special heavier Lycra/Polyester blend that is not transparent and offers good compressions / support. The anti-shock gel chamois is a new design and is as good as it gets. These shorts also feature white mesh braces, internal elastic leg grippers and some flat lock stitching.

Cento Custom Cycling Clothes

We have re-structured our Custom Clothing program. The highlights are as follows:

No Art or Design fees: There are no additional artwork or setup fees unless you require more than 3 hours of design work. Our Art Department can give you an estimate on this work before they begin. Our design fee is $60/hr.

Ordering/Payment/Shipping for individual members: Each club/team member can submit their own individial order. Each club/team member can be charged for their order and have it shipped directly to them making the clothing coordinators job much easier.

Low Minimums: There is a minimum order of 5 pieces per article of clothing (excluding accessories) providing your final order comes to at least $500.

Quality and Reliability: Professional Team Issue quality that is made in Italy. We will ensure your order is correct.

Base Layers and Born Body Care Products: As an added benefit all clubs and teams that use TSC for their custom / Semi-custom clothes are eligible to receive team discounts on Outwet base layers and Born Body Care products .
